Change the position of the Reading Pane or turn it off

You can also move the Reading Pane to another position on the screen or turn it off altogether.

  1. On the ribbon, choose View.

  2. In the Layout section, choose Reading Pane, and then choose Right, Bottom, or Off.

  3. If you want to mark items as read that you've viewed in the reading pane, choose the Options button, and then select one or more options from the list.
